Recipe 2: Bourbon Balls

These balls are specially made for older adults - a boozy treat to eat.

Ingredients

  1. 1 ( 12.oz) pkg. vanilla wafers, finely crushed ( I would recommend the Nilla vanilla wafers cookies)

  2. 1 C chopped pecans, toasted

  3. 3/4 c powdered sugar

  4. 2 T. unsweetened cocoa

  5. 1/2 c Bourbon ( I would recommend the Kentucky Straight )

  3. Cover and chill it in the fridge

Kate's Tips:

  1. Shape up the balls into an lrg shape of balls: I would put little pressure and do not heat up the balls.

Recipes 3: Rum Balls

This ball is unbelievably tasty - so good! I have received multiple messages about how tasty this treat was.

Ingredients:

  1. 12 oz. vanilla wafers

  2. 1 C semi-sweet chocolate chips

  3. 1/4 c light corn syrup

  5. 1 c confections sugar( powdered sugar) or unsweetened shredded coconut

Directions

  1. Put the vanilla wafers into a food processor and turn them into a fine crumb.

  2. Heating up the chocolate and corn syrup: I would use a medium saucepan on very low heat on the stove. By cooking, you will need to stir often until the chocolate looks like it is melted and smooth - for about 5 mins. Take it off from heat and stir in rum. For 2 options - you can roll in powdered sugar OR shredded coconut.

  3. You can either leave the rum mixture ball in the saucepan or transfer in the large mixing bowl. Put it into the fridge it comes easy to roll and firm, for about 15 mins.

  4. Shape up the balls into 1 in and roll into either powdered sugar or shredded coconut

  5. Put into the fridge to firm.

  2. Occasionally, you will have to scrape down the sides into the bowl. Return to your medium speed and put one egg at a time and along with 1 yolk at a time. After you have done with that part, and then you will have to add the rum extract. Repeat the scrape down and beat it for 1-2 mins.

  3. You will add the flour mixture to the stand mixer on low settings, and until it combined. Make sure the flour doesn't go anywhere by leaving it from the bowl. Keep the dough set it aside, for the dough to be dried " Hydrate", for 10 mins while you get the oven ready.

While they are baking, and you have roating the baking sheet halfway through. The results of the cookies should be slighted puffed and just set.

  6. Before eating the cookies, let the cookies cool down on the baking sheets before you transfer the cookies over to the wire rack.

Recipe 5: Gingerbread Fudge

Making a gingerbread fudge was a type of recipe that everyone loves to that gingerbread taste. This recipe was easy and simple to make. No Fuss.

  1. 3/4 C sweetened condensed milk

  1. Start by pouring the condensed milk and chocolate chips into a safe microwave bowl. Heat it up for 2-3 mins. DO Not Overheat - I repeat do not overheat. If you do, the result is going to be pretty scary because the chocolate will be burned! You should stir it until the texture is melted, smooth, and blend well.

  2. Sprinkle the spices and combine.

  3. This is an optional step: you can add Christmas sprinkles to it. This step has to super fast, as the sprinkles can melt into the heated chocolate.

  4. Transfer the fudge into a 8x8 in baking pan with aluminium foil ( nonstick foil will work). Let the product set in the fridge. They need time to set up.
