Have you ever found yourself wanting a hot chocolate from Starbucks, but the line is too long? Ever been late somewhere because you waited in line for coffee? Well not anymore! I have the solution: "copycat" hot chocolate from Starbucks.

Ingredients

  1. 2 T cocoa powder

  2. 2 T sugar

  3. 1/4 c water

  4. 1 1/2 C milk - any milk

  5. 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Put the cocoa powder, sugar, and water into a Starbucks mug (see the tip) for 40 secs in the microwave

  2. After it is done in the microwave, stir in to look like a chocolate syrup

  3. Stir in the milk and vanilla into the mug

  4. Put the mug back in the microwave for 60 secs.

  5. The last step: toppings! Whipped cream, chocolate chips, caramel - you name it. Give it something extra.

Kate's Tip

  1. While you do not have to use a Starbucks mug, I think that a larger mug will be easiest for you to work with
